The primitive tropical forest of Cuc Phuong has been attracting visitors since 1960. Cuc Phuong is famous for its rich animal and plant life and the dozens of ancient caves that can be found within the forest. The most interesting cave is, perhaps, Nguoi Xua or the cave of Ancient man where prehistoric stone – made tools have been found. Cuc Phuong National Park boasts some 2,000 distinct species of flora, including more than 50 varieties of orchids and giant impressive trees, some of which are over 1,000 years old. There are also 262 species of animals including reptiles, monkeys, flying squirrels and even wild horses make their home in park.

Itinerary:

Day 1 07.00: We pick you up at the hotel and depart for Cuc Phuong National Park

11.00: Arrival at Cuc Phuong Park. Your visit begins at the Endangered Primate Rescue Center. After lunch, you’ll start on a long trek through the forest to learn about the diverse flora and fauna of the park. You’ll also make stops at Cho Chi – the oldest tree in the forest, at a number of picturesque and waterfalls and Nguoi Xua – the ancient cave of man

17.00: Return to the park’s guest house for dinner and a restful night

Day 2: 07.00: After breakfast, we depart for Van Long. A boat will take you to the secluded nature preserve where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view which is similar to Ha Long Bay but unmatched in its serenity. Following a visit to the hot springs, you cross a green field on the way to Van Trinh Cave

15.00: Departure for Hanoi

18.00: Arrival in Hanoi
